<title>Some More High Altitude Shots</title>
<description>A couple more shots from my recent trip from Birmingham to San Antonio via Atlanta. These are both on the Birmingham to Atlanta leg. I'd be interested in whether folks find the first shot or the second to be more appealing, since I've got quite a few photos to edit, and would like to make pictures that folks actually like to look at. As you can probably tell, one of the photos has had the colors "enhanced", and I'm not sure if that's good or bad for a casual shot.

<title>Example from High Above</title>
<description>As mentioned yesterday, I'm working my way though a couple hundred shots I took out the airplane window on my last trip. Not surprisingly, a number of these are having to be deleted or cropped to take out part of the window frame, a bit of wing, some internal reflection, etc. Which is the main problem of shooting with a digital that has a viewfinder but not a through the lens view.

Still, I think even some of the early shots are showing some promise, and the one I've included here gives you a feel of what will be coming. The focus on this one is a bit soft, but I like the composition in general terms. The haze toward the top of the picture is a frequent issue as well. Wonder if there's a software UV filter around somewhere...

Hope you have a great weekend planned :->

<title>Another Enchanted Rock Photo</title>
<description>Was travelling to Birmingham earlier this week, and so couldn't get to my photo collection to post anything up here. I did get quite a few pictures from the plane on both legs of the trip, and will try to get some of them up here eventually.

Someone had asked about what camera I use. Most of my high resolution photos were taken with a Minolta Dimage 7. However most of my more recent photographs have been with a Phillips "Wearable" Digital Camera. Having the smaller camera, even with the sacrifice in quality, has been a net plus since I'm hardly ever at a place without a camera any more. Plus it's not as distracting if I want to just pop a shot or two.

In the meantime, I've posted another picture from Enchanted Rock that I took earlier this year. Hope you enjoy it!

<title>Weekend Trip</title>
<description>It's raining fairly steadily today. A fact I cover in somewhat more detail on my http://a1.blogspot.com(text blog). But this Sunday it's supposed to clear up and we're planning to visit Fredericksburg and Enchanted Rock State Park. The picture here is of a tree that has managed to grow on top of this 400 foot high granite outcropping. I think it makes for a rather nice picture :-)

Hope you and yours have a great weekend planned!

<title>Looking Up</title>
<description>Today's shot is from last week's trip to Chicago. A rather "intimate" view of the Sears Tower from ground level. Seems to rise up into the clouds!

<title>On a Trip to Chicago</title>
<description>Today's shots are a view out the motel window from my trip to Chicago. We're up here doing some client interviews, and this gives you a flavor for the area - particularly the bit of snow on the ground.

Hope things are warmer wherever you're at! I know I'm looking forward to returning home on Thursday and getting temps that are closer to 20 Celsius than 20 Fahrenheit :-)

<title>Still Warm in San Antonio</title>
<description>I grew up in Colorado, and lived for years in Minnesota. So it's nice to see that it's December 31st and that the highs are still in the mid-60s (fahrenheit). The picture below is from a few weeks ago, and shows what things are looking like at the local Botannical Garden.

<title>Greetings All</title>
<description>Am looking to move over here from http://a1.blogspot.com(My Other Blog), in large part because I'm a photo taking kind of guy, and I need some place to put all my pictures where the rest of the family and friends can see what I've been up to.

My first image is a picture of what I see most days - the desk in my office.

Look forward to talking and showing more soon :-D
